The European Union’s new mega-deal with India will go down as one of the most damaging decisions in Europe’s entire history. It marks the high-water mark of a civilization that was once prosperous, diverse, and culturally self-confident. Countries that have entered sweeping economic and migration arrangements with India have not emerged stronger. India has repeatedly acted against the interests of its partners, and the social and economic strain now visible in countries like Canada, the UK, and Australia is a warning sign Europe is choosing to ignore. At a time when youth unemployment across the EU is at crisis levels (14%!), policymakers are pushing to facilitate the inflow of millions of low-wage foreign workers rather than prioritizing employment, training, and wages for their own citizens. This is not a solution to Europe’s problems. It actually deepens them. Oh, and this is not incompetence. It is deliberate. Europe’s leadership is pursuing radical globalization at the expense of national cohesion, cultural continuity, and social stability. The end goal is a borderless labor pool where nations lose their distinct identities and citizens lose leverage, making centralized control easier. If this path continues, Europe will not become more resilient or more united. It will become fragmented, hollowed out, and weaker, and the consequences will be felt first and most severely in Europe itself.(Jacob King)
