The reason I buy Bitcoin over gold is that I can leave any jurisdiction at any moment with my net worth. No one can stop me. Scarcity obviously plays a role. I can sell as much as I want at any time at the spot price, with no discount from dealers. I'm in my 20s; gold appeals to me from a jewellery point of view, but otherwise, in a digital world, it doesn't make sense to me to hoard it. Factor in remote working.
