This Satoshi‑era Bitcoin whale has just woken up after well over a decade of dormancy. The entire 909.38 BTC was transferred into a new wallet, likely being set up for off‑chain settlements and synthetic exposure sells.
When this whale first received the BTC, the price was around $7. Today, that stash is worth roughly $85 million, a 13,900x increase.
Many investors naively think Satoshi only controlled the well‑known wallet holding 1 million BTC. In reality, it’s far more likely those coins were fragmented early on into hundreds of sleeper wallets, each designed to age independently and be reintroduced without pattern recognition. This structure makes attribution nearly impossible and liquidation effectively invisible.(Jacob King)
