I used to really believe in 'fortune-telling.' I believed that a person's destiny could be determined by their birth chart. A 'good birth chart' once gave me an opportunity to land a job with huge returns. Back in 2021, there was a DAO where the admin would do fortune-telling, and only those with 'good fortune' could join the group to trade crypto with him. He read my fortune and said I was average, not great. I didn’t agree because most 'masters' said my fortune was excellent. So, I went into a group run by @LonersLiu and started trash-talking this guy. Someone in the group, another master, told me to stop and offered to read my fortune instead. He said my fortune was amazing, that I was a good person, had great luck, and could even bring good fortune to a team... basically, everything about me was great. So I said, 'Then why don’t you hire me at your company?' And that’s how I joined his company. I earned $2,500 a month, worked remotely, and barely did anything for the first two months. By the third month, I made a ton of money, and after that, everyone just started coasting. That 'master' would occasionally read my fortune, covering all aspects of my life. Even now, most of the 'rich people' or accomplished 'big shots' I meet still strongly believe in fortune-telling. But is everything in life already predetermined? I now think: not really. So much of it is just what you predict and decide in the moment. Society has its patterns—if you’re cheerful, optimistic, kind, and sincere, you naturally make the people around you happy. If you’re persistent, willing to fight, and take action, you’ll naturally create opportunities for yourself. What you do determines what you get. Live in the moment. What shapes your life are the decisions you make right now. Wealth, morality, happiness—they all come down to those fleeting moments of hesitation. Let go of illusions and face reality head-on.
