[Immunefi: Nearly 80% of Hacked Crypto Projects Never Fully Recover] According to a report by Jinse Finance, Mitchell Amador, CEO of Web3 security platform Immunefi, stated that nearly 80% of crypto projects that suffer major hacking incidents never fully recover. The primary reason is not the initial financial loss but the collapse of operations and trust during the response process. Most protocols are paralyzed at the moment vulnerabilities are exploited, leading to additional losses due to the lack of predefined emergency plans. Data shows that crypto-related hacking incidents in 2025 resulted in total losses of $3.4 billion, the highest level since 2022. Three incidents, including a $1.4 billion hack on Bybit, accounted for 69% of all losses as of early December.
