[Musk Seeks Up to $134 Billion in Damages from OpenAI and Microsoft, Alleging 'Unjust Enrichment'] According to Sina Finance, Elon Musk filed documents in court on Friday stating that he is seeking up to $134 billion in compensation from artificial intelligence startup OpenAI and its shareholder Microsoft, arguing that he is entitled to the 'unjust enrichment' resulting from his early support of the company. The documents submitted by Musk show that he invested approximately $38 million, accounting for 60% of OpenAI's initial seed funding. He also assisted in recruiting employees, helped the founders connect with key individuals, and added credibility to the project at its inception. Musk stated in the documents: 'Just as early investors in a startup may receive returns several orders of magnitude greater than their initial investment, the unjust gains obtained by OpenAI and Microsoft (which Musk now has the right to reclaim) far exceed his original contribution.'
