Where is transformative legislation? Where is the agent of change? We need to end 2,000 page omnibus bills. If I was in the Senate, I would propose Single Issue Bills only - 5 pages long. There’s no valid argument to include Ukraine funding in a bill dealing with social security, infrastructure, housing, etc. For example, an Ukraine funding bill should be called “The Ukraine funding bill.” I highlight a few of my single issue bill ideas in the livestream below. But I have quite a few more - for example: A No Welfare For Non-Citizens Act; Restore Trust in Congress Act (no more stock trading or becoming a lobbyist); End The Red Tape in Energy Act (nuclear energy, natural gas and other permits within 6 months); a Fair Housing Act (5M Homes in 5 years, no more hedge funds or foreign businesses buying single family homes and farms); End The Middlemen (PBMs) Pricing Act (end all rebates not 100% given to the consumer at the pharmacy); Healthcare Transparency Act (drug prices, costs for hospital stays or services provided BEFORE it occurs); and much more.(John E Deaton)
