Father of Smart Contracts: Supports X Revoking InfoFi App's API Access, Platforms Like Kaito Generating Tons of Low-Quality Content
The father of smart contracts and co-founder of Castle Island Ventures, Nic Carter, posted on X, stating that incentive-based posting platforms like Kaito, combined with AI, have led to a flood of low-quality content.
In the early days of the crypto Twitter scene, the fun was in grassroots competition. But now, the industry's growth focus has shifted to stablecoins and financial infrastructure, leaning more towards institutional and VC narratives. This makes it harder for ordinary retail investors to feel the opportunity for "fair participation and striking it rich," leading to a decline in enthusiasm.
Additionally, X's "de-niche" design and enhanced "For You" recommendations make it harder for creators to reach their niche communities, reducing the chances for professional crypto content to get recommended.
Nic Carter added that X has quickly responded by revoking the API access of the "InfoFi" app to reduce spam content on the platform, and he fully supports this move.
