According to Bloomberg, Hong Kong fintech company WeLab announced the completion of a $220 million financing round. Investors include HSBC, Prudential Hong Kong, Fubon Bank (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Investment Company, Allianz X, and TOM Group (a CK Hutchison company), among others. This round includes both equity and debt financing, marking the largest round since WeLab's establishment. WeLab stated that the funds will be used to expand into the Southeast Asian market and for mergers and acquisitions. WeLab is one of the startup/corporate members of the Hong Kong Web3.0 Association.
