[KPMG: Human-Machine Collaboration Enters a New Phase of 'Cognitive Intelligence']
On January 16, KPMG held the second Smart Manufacturing Technology 50 List and Report Release Conference during the China Smart Manufacturing Entrepreneurs Ecosystem Summit, releasing the 'Second Smart Manufacturing Technology 50' report and list.
The report mentions that industrial large models have become the core engine of intelligent transformation, with the industrial large model application market expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 23%. The report outlines six major trends for the development of smart manufacturing toward 2030, including industrial large models driving the shift in manufacturing from technological breakthroughs to industrial restructuring, the increasingly clear contours of a 'human-machine symbiosis' smart manufacturing ecosystem, and the industrial metaverse promoting the globalization of virtual manufacturing.
The report states that human-machine collaboration has entered a new phase of 'cognitive intelligence.' China's industrial robot sales remain the highest in the world, with collaborative robot shipments exceeding 40,000 units, extending from traditional handling tasks to unstructured environments such as aerial, underwater, and underground domains. Pure vision-based positioning systems have successfully replaced manual labor in performing high-risk inspection tasks in underground utility corridors, achieving dual improvements in safety and efficiency.
