Crypto is a market driven by [narrative >> fundamentals]. Before AI became the hot topic, to exaggerate a bit, crypto carried all the dreams of the world. You have to admit, there’s always capital that loves investing in this kind of 'most badass future tech.' But after AI emerged, AI shook the foundation of this narrative. Clearly, AI is the 'most badass future tech,' and blockchain can only rank second or third, so— —That’s why tech stocks in the U.S. soared afterward, but Bitcoin didn’t follow. However, Bitcoin was lucky enough to find the great narrative of 'store of value,' while other crypto projects weren’t as fortunate. This is the biggest challenge they face. And since crypto is a market driven by narrative >> fundamentals, so— —That’s why Bitcoin is thriving solo while Altcoins are struggling. Still, I believe in Bitcoin and hold onto it firmly. Time really flies. I saw the article 'The Obvious Play' mentioned here, and it turns out it was written 6 years ago. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it, only to realize it was from 20 years ago. In my mind, I subconsciously thought 6 years ago might’ve been 2017 or something (maybe because 2020–2023 feels like it flew by too fast). I used to think patiently holding onto Bitcoin and waiting was incredibly tough, but 6 years? It’s just a blink of an eye. Holding for another 6 or 10 years doesn’t seem that hard anymore.
