We gathered at Lakespen, St. Catherine, for the opening of a new brewery and manufacturing facility, representing an important expansion of Jamaica’s manufacturing capacity. This investment reflects the confidence Jamaican businesses have in our economy and the results of years of disciplined national reform. In a global environment shaped by supply chain disruptions, economic uncertainty, and climate risks, Jamaica must be able to produce competitively and meet international standards to sustain growth. While this year will bring challenges, with several parishes affected and key sectors impacted, the Government is moving quickly to support recovery, repair damaged homes, and help businesses get back on their feet. Jamaica will grow its way forward, standing on our own two feet and continuing to build a strong, resilient, and independent nation.(Andrew Holness)
