As we all know, ever since Trump took office, his administration has been a total mess, and the U.S. government's ability to govern has significantly weakened. Although the Senate isn't under Trump's control, the chaotic nature seems to be spreading. After all, whoever oversees something can expand their power boundaries, which could lead to more benefits in the future. So this division of responsibilities might drag on for a while. It's hard to be optimistic about the timeline—both sides might keep holding hearings, inviting all kinds of experts to muddy the waters. In the end, to reach a compromise, they might come up with an extremely bloated 'Frankenstein' bill—SEC handles part of it, CFTC handles another part, and in between, they'll create a ridiculously complex 'joint registration mechanism.'
