Chairman of the Financial Markets Committee of the Russian State Duma: Cryptocurrency is expected to become a daily tool for Russian residents Odaily Planet Daily reported that Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Financial Markets Committee of the Russian State Duma, stated that preparations have been completed for a bill aimed at removing cryptocurrencies from the "special financial regulation" framework, which may promote cryptocurrencies to become a common phenomenon in the lives of Russian residents in the future. Aksakov stated in an interview with Russian state television that the State Duma will focus on discussing topics related to digital financial assets and cryptocurrencies during the upcoming spring session. According to the proposed bill, cryptocurrency will no longer be considered a special regulatory object and its usage scenarios will become more normalized. He also pointed out that the bill allows non professional investors to participate in the cryptocurrency market, but sets a limit that individuals cannot purchase digital currencies for more than 300000 rubles; Professional financial market participants are not subject to this restriction. In addition, cryptocurrencies can also be used for international settlements and can further enter the financial markets of other countries after being issued in Russia. (TASS)
