Tam explained that in August 2024, the anti quantum algorithm commonly known as "Dilithium" (officially known as the modular lattice based digital signature algorithm ML-DSA), which is the technology used in the Bitcoin quantum network, was standardized in the United States. This algorithm has not yet been widely applied in fast innovation fields such as cryptocurrency, mainly due to its high operating costs. Compared to the digital signatures currently used to send messages to the blockchain or even WhatsApp messages, the data size of anti quantum algorithms has increased by at least 200 times.
