Back when BSC hadn’t taken off yet, us Chinese speakers mainly played around with memes on Solana.
But just like how many non-Chinese speakers now don’t really understand the context of Chinese memes, back then we also couldn’t grasp the culture and context of English memes.
I can’t speak for others, but from what I know, my friends around me got wrecked pretty badly by memes on Solana.
One characteristic of memes on Solana is that whether it’s a $100K market cap or $50M market cap, the rug-pulling speed and effectiveness are the same—they can cut you down to your heels in just a few minutes. Those foreign whales are seriously ruthless when it comes to harvesting.
Later, BSC started gaining momentum, and from Binance Life onwards, foreigners began learning Chinese and started understanding Chinese culture.
But the biggest difference they faced compared to us back then is this: on BSC, you almost never see memes with over $10M market cap rug-pulling you down to your heels within minutes like on Solana.
What I want to say is, we need to cherish the Chinese meme environment that BSC and Binance have provided. Without Binance, no exchange would give Chinese memes this much attention. Of course, other exchanges don’t have the scale or capability to stand out in this area.
That said, I personally still look forward to other exchanges catching up to Binance’s pace—bringing out the same approach they used to follow Binance or even launch English memes earlier than Binance—and also launching some Chinese memes. Cultural confidence knows no borders.
Finally, wishing Binance continued success in 2026! Forward! Forward! Forward! @cz_binance @heyibinance
