The `Devil’s Metal' Might Inflict Pain -
Silver climbed to near $50 an ounce in 2011 at about a 125% premium to its 100-week moving average, which recently stretched to roughly 130% -- the greatest since 1980. Sometimes referred to as the "devil's metal" due to its high volatility, silver may be sending a message that it's overbought, if history's a guide. My graphic also depicts Bitcoin at its 100-week mean; nadirs have been closer to a 20% discount.
