Hurun's 'China High Net Worth Population' report
Pulled out the key data for you:
Pic 1: Distribution of households with investable assets of ¥6 million to ¥30 million
Pic 2: Distribution of individuals with assets over ¥10 million
Pic 3: Asset allocation of high net worth individuals
Here’s what we can sense:

That’s roughly one in every 300 households.
For ¥10 million RMB, there are 1.09 million individuals, accounting for 0.22%.
That’s about one in every 400 households.
Breaking it down to individuals, the proportion is even lower.
Overall, high net worth individuals prefer stable assets. Bank savings/wealth management/money market funds (25%) and insurance (19%) together make up nearly half.
Stocks (14%) and gold (8%) follow, while cryptocurrency investments only account for 2%.
There are clear differences among groups:
Business owners are the most conservative, with the highest proportion in bank savings (28%).
Corporate executives are relatively balanced, with slightly higher allocations in stocks (15%) and bonds (7%).
Professional investors are more aggressive, with stocks (18%) and insurance (21%) standing out, while savings are the lowest (21%).
