The past two days' trades have been tough to make. The market sentiment is still in a slight consolidation phase. The situation in Venezuela is unfolding as the market expected. The U.S. has already started discussions with Venezuela about oil imports. If an agreement is reached, it could help push oil prices down, which might ease U.S. inflation a bit. But personally, I think the main focus this week is still on Friday. Two major events are happening on Friday. One is the release of the non-farm payroll data. From the current perspective, both good and bad unemployment data could be considered positive. A higher unemployment rate might increase expectations for a Fed rate cut, while a lower unemployment rate would indicate that the U.S. economy remains optimistic. However, it’s highly likely that there won’t be any rate adjustments in January. Any adjustments after March will likely depend more on the direct showdown between Trump and the Fed. The other, even more important, event is that tomorrow the Supreme Court might announce its ruling on Trump’s tariffs. If the tariffs are deemed illegal, it would be good news for easing U.S. inflation and would support the Fed in choosing to cut rates. But for Trump and his administration, it could be a tough blow, and it might hurt Trump’s approval ratings. Looking back at Bitcoin’s data, the $90,000 curse seems to have been broken. Even though it dipped below $90,000 yesterday, BTC climbed back above $90,000 today despite the U.S. stock market’s decline, showing a trend different from the stock market. Of course, it’s still too early to draw conclusions. We’ll need to see how the market reacts after Friday’s non-farm payroll data and the Trump tariff ruling. If it can stabilize above $90,000, that would be pretty decent. The structure of the holdings is still shifting. Investors around $87,000 are still actively trading, but the current stabilization period is still too short to form a solid bottom.
