[Babylon Completes $15 Million Financing Round, Led by a16z Crypto] The decentralized protocol Babylon, co-founded by Stanford University professor David Tse, recently completed a $15 million financing round led by a16z Crypto, a division of Andreessen Horowitz. The project valuation has not been disclosed. Babylon's BTCVaults protocol allows Bitcoin holders to use their Bitcoin as collateral without relying on third parties such as exchanges or stablecoin issuers, while retaining control of their assets. The protocol is scheduled to integrate with the lending protocol Aave in the second quarter of 2026. Founded in 2021, Babylon has a team of over 40 people and has not yet generated revenue.
