From the perspective of Opinion:
1. Equalizing macro trading
Macro trading used to be a game for institutions (like the Bloomberg terminal setup).
What Opinion wants to do is turn 'global events/macro data' into an entry point that everyone can trade.
2. No intermediaries/bundled/packaged products—trade directly on opinions
Think rates will drop? Traditionally, you'd have to buy proxy assets like BTC, gold, or bonds, which come with tons of noise and influencing factors.
Opinion turns events like 'rate cuts/inflation/data releases' into direct tradable targets—cleaner and more straightforward.
3. AI scales up market opening + settlement
The hardest part of prediction markets is 'how to determine outcomes, settle trades, and avoid disputes.'
4. Order book: more like an exchange, less like a casino
Using CLOB (Central Limit Order Book) shows they aim for depth, spreads, and a market-making ecosystem to attract professional traders—not just casual betting for entertainment.
5. InfoFi’s grand narrative: turning 'information' into assets
If prediction prices eventually become 'citation-grade data' (used by media, quant strategies, and DeFi), then it’s no longer just a product—it’s infrastructure.
