[Analysis: Garrett Jin Involved in Creating Ethereum Staking Pools, Approximately 886,000 ETH Once Operated Collectively] BlockBeats reported on January 6 that on-chain investigator Eye revealed that 'BTC OG insider whale' representative Garrett Jin, through his company XHash, participated in the creation of two Ethereum staking pool contracts—Eth2Depositor (0x2F4) and EthBatchDepositor (0xE00). Data shows that approximately 886,440 ETH (equivalent to about $4.07 billion) was deposited into the aforementioned staking pools. The staking period lasted about four months, with the funds traced back to BTC sales on Hyperliquid/Hyperunit during August–September. Recently, all of this ETH has been fully unstaked. Further investigation revealed that the related company is registered on LinkedIn under the name 'Hypercieve,' located in Singapore. One of the co-founders is Jack Chen, who is also the founder of the Bitcoin mining company SpiderPool. Notably, Jack Chen and Garrett Jin previously worked in the same department at HTX: Jack Chen: Operations Director (2014–2016) Garrett Jin: Operations Director (2014–2015) Eye pointed out that the two have maintained a long-term close collaboration, and Jack Chen is highly likely to be one of the key figures involved in jointly managing a fund pool of approximately $10 billion.
