Telegram has less than 100 full-time employees, and its IPO plan is postponed due to French litigation
According to FT, Telegram currently has less than 100 full-time employees. Despite having a user base of 1 billion, the company still maintains an extremely streamlined team operation model. Telegram's revenue in the first half of 2025 reached 870 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of over 65%, of which nearly one-third (about 300 million US dollars) came from exclusive agreements related to Toncoin. Advertising revenue reached 125 million US dollars, and paid subscription revenue reached 223 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 88%. Despite operating profit approaching $400 million, the company still recorded a net loss of $222 million due to the depreciation of Toncoin. Telegram aims to achieve a revenue of $2 billion by 2025. The IPO plan has been postponed due to the French lawsuit.
