[NVIDIA Launches Automotive Platform Alpamayo, New Rubin Platform to Hit the Market This Year]
Foresight News reports, citing Jin10, that NVIDIA unveiled an automotive platform named Alpamayo at the CES 2026 exhibition. CEO Jensen Huang stated that the platform enables vehicles to perform 'reasoning' in the real world. Potential users can adopt the Alpamayo model and retrain it themselves. The free service offered aims to create vehicles capable of handling unexpected situations (such as traffic light malfunctions) autonomously. The in-car computer will analyze input from cameras and other sensors, break it down into a series of steps, and derive solutions.
Additionally, its new Rubin data center product is set to hit the market this year, allowing customers to test the technology. All six Rubin chips have been delivered by manufacturing partners and have passed several critical tests, indicating that customer deployment is progressing as planned. The newly launched Rubin accelerator delivers 3.5 times the training performance of its predecessor, Blackwell, and runs AI software 5 times faster. Systems based on Rubin will have lower operating costs compared to those based on Blackwell.
