Since completing the product closed loop, I have developed two iOS/MacOS apps consecutively during the New Year holiday, and I can't even write a single line of Swift code. I am one of the earliest users of Cursor/Claude Code and have been using AI to write websites and backend code for a long time. However, my previous projects were relatively simple and my AI capabilities were relatively weak. I just thought they were a good efficiency tool. It wasn't until last week that I really started developing complex products and watched AI help me complete everything from market research, product requirement discussion, technical solution selection, document writing, interface design, interface design, backend code implementation, database integration in a dialog box I was greatly impacted by Docker container deployment and iOS development. It's hard to imagine anyone who can be proficient in any of these fields. I began to realize that my software development experience accumulated over the past decade is no longer worth mentioning. Even though AI is still not proficient in handling some details, I am still qualified to guide it. However, I know that these so-called experiences can soon be mastered by AI by providing accurate prompts. There will be many template based documents/rules/skills on the market to implement the best practices of previous product managers/architects/designers/backend development/frontend development/operations development, and can be reused in any future project. Nowadays, anyone can easily put their ideas into practice, the only thing you lack is ideas. The forms of many jobs that we are familiar with in the past will undergo significant changes. If we continue to reject AI/those who are slow to react, we will soon be eliminated by the market. There is no doubt that A new era is coming.
