OpenMind is an open-source AI robot operating system (OM1+FABRIC) designed to build an AI native software stack for robots, enabling them to think, learn, and collaborate intelligently. It can be simply compared to the "Android system of robots", which focuses on embedding AI capabilities into physical robots to achieve interaction between machines and autonomous task execution. The question is, why does it collaborate with Virtuals? OpenMind collaborates with Virtuals to extend software AI agents to the field of physical robots, connecting the two through a unified coordination layer and payment system. In this way, physical robots have the opportunity to truly become users' assistants and even participate in DeFi transactions, such as users sending voice commands to physical robots to perform DeFi operations (such as optimizing DeFi benefits). To put it more bluntly, the collaboration between OpenMind and Virtuals is similar to the combination of software brain and hardware body, where the two complement each other completely and work together to make things happen. For Openmind, it is similar to the "Android system for robots", which can make robots move, but only the hardware brain is not enough, it also requires the software world. Virtuals is similar to a super connector, providing proxy protocols, payment systems, and more. With these, Openmind's robots can not only walk and work, but also automatically transact 24/7, chat and collaborate with other robots to complete more tasks. For example, if you ask a physical robot to "help book a cheeseburger for under 20u", it will go online to select a store, verify orders, use encrypted payments, and even pick up meals. That is to say, through Virtuals' super connector, Openmind has the opportunity to upgrade robots into truly useful assistants. It should be noted that this is not yet a scenario that has been implemented, and further advancements in software and hardware are needed. For virtualis, there are also many benefits. Its advantage lies in the AI agent economy, which allows AI agents to make autonomous decisions, make money and spend money, etc. However, these have always been in the virtual world and cannot be extended to the physical world. With OpenMind, it is equivalent to adding a "physical body" to AI agents on Virtuals, allowing these AI agents to directly control real robots, listen to voice commands, perform physical tasks, and even operate on the chain. In this way, Virtuals has jumped from a pure virtual economy to physical applications, where AI agents not only calculate accounts, but also "move" to help people with tasks, instantly expanding the ecosystem. Without OpenMind, the narrative of Virtuals remains at the software level; After cooperation, its narrative extends to the level of physical robots, providing more opportunities for the adoption of AI agents in its ecosystem. The current situation is that cooperation is being promoted, such as extending Virtuals' ACP to embodied AI, and OpenMind launching BrainPack hardware suite to make third-party robots intelligent. Overall, we are still in the early stages of narrative implementation and have a long way to go.
