[National Development and Reform Commission: Over 100 billion yuan allocated from ultra-long-term special government bonds and other funds to support Yangtze River protection projects] Jin10 News, January 5 – Wang Changlin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on January 5 that the 'Three-Year Action Plan for Further Advancing Yangtze River Protection' has outlined key tasks for the period from 2025 to 2027 in areas such as water pollution control and water ecological protection and restoration. Wang Changlin noted that significant progress has been made over the past year. This includes the introduction and implementation of a series of key policy measures. More than 100 billion yuan from ultra-long-term special government bonds, central budgetary investments, and other funds has been allocated to support Yangtze River protection projects, such as the ecological restoration of key rivers and lakes, the treatment of urban black and odorous water bodies, and energy conservation and carbon reduction in key industries and sectors. Additionally, an implementation plan for advancing the construction of horizontal ecological protection compensation mechanisms for major rivers has been issued, specifying the establishment of a unified basin-wide horizontal ecological protection compensation mechanism along the main stream of the Yangtze River.
