CHINA CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF MADURO China’s Foreign Ministry has urged the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, calling their seizure a serious violation of international law and the UN Charter. Beijing said Washington must ensure their safety and stop interfering in Venezuela’s internal affairs, urging dialogue and negotiation instead.
