Only tokens that can generate real revenue and share it with holders (e.g., ad-supported videos, music subscriptions, or long-form content) have value; otherwise, they’re closer to 'better-packaged memecoins.' He believes creator tokens should represent claims on the overall revenue pool of creators, including sponsorships, media, products, and future projects, though this is harder to achieve. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong responded, saying that content tokens and creator tokens are interconnected through liquidity pools, and the trading demand for content tokens does indeed drive the economic value of creator tokens.
