According to @elonmusk - who’s looked at America’s books - the fraud is in the trillions - 20% of government spending = $1.5T per year.
@friedberg claims the other side will do nothing because the number is SO LARGE it’s like looking into an abyss.
Why would Friedberg say that:
Because $1T is so large the human brain isn’t wired to comprehend it - which is why governments waste it.
Here are ways to try and comprehend $1T:
$1T is roughly:
The entire annual economy of Spain or Australia and more than MA’s entire GDP for nearly 2 years.
$1T pennies:
Would cover every square inch of Manhattan several feet deep.
If you spent $1M per day, it would take 2,740 years to spend $1T.
1 trillion seconds = 31,709 YEARS.
And we are operating at a $2T deficit each year! Now think about $38T in debt.
