This money goes to programs that provide medical help, employment, childcare, and cash support to refugees, asylees, and certain other eligible groups through HHS’s Administration for Children and Families. You want to know who also needs help with healthcare, childcare, rent, and groceries - struggling Americans - that’s who. Even worse, the $5.7 billion figure is significantly higher than pre-Biden levels - around $1.9 billion in 2021.
