Succinct shared a recap of their 2025 milestones the day before yesterday, and it’s safe to say they’ve done an impressive job. In 2025, they turned ZK proofs—previously considered slow, expensive, overly complex, and difficult to implement—into something instant, affordable, and developer-friendly. This allowed them to expand to 6 chains, providing ZK proof security for over $4 billion in assets, solidifying their role as a key infrastructure for Ethereum now and in the future. ◎ Speed: Succinct SP1 successfully verified 99.7% of Ethereum blocks within 12 seconds, achieving real-time validation of Ethereum L1 blocks. This makes ZK proofs practically viable for real-world applications. ◎ Cost: It now costs only a few tens of thousands of dollars to build a real-time ZK proof validator for Ethereum L1 blocks. Additionally, a single ZK verification using Succinct SP1 costs just 0.2 PROVE, which is $0.08. The low usage and verification costs make ZK proofs economically feasible for large-scale applications. ◎ Applications: With just a few lines of code, ZK verification can be easily integrated into products/protocols. Currently, 6 chains are using Succinct SP1, generating over 6 million proofs and securing more than $4 billion in assets. Looking ahead to 2026, Succinct plans to expand beyond the crypto space, targeting governments, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. Their goal is to evolve ZK verification from a niche cryptographic theory into a critical infrastructure supporting the next generation of blockchain, enterprise, institutional, and government technologies.
