A controversial view that's expressed in Peter Theil's classic startup book, zero to one, is that in order to create a viable business, one must create something close to a monopoly. This can happen in a small, niche market that others do not see as viable that then becomes viable in the long run. In 2021, many competitors were funded based on Axie's success. Now, most games have died or closed up shop. Most gaming chains don't have any viable games. Almost every interesting happening in crypto gaming right now is happening on Ronin. We have outlasted a majority of the competitors that cropped up when we created the industry while continuing to innovate and iterate on new models. There's a ton to be excited about in '26 and concrete evidence that things are changing (IE Fableborne, Cambria), while the status quo belief is that stablecoins, defi, and prediction markets will be the only interesting use cases of crypto in '26.(Jihoz.ron)
