A user complained that they were cheated of a sum of money by a "Binance executive" who promised to help solve the problem, but there was no news after the money was transferred. After in-depth investigation, various suspicious points were discovered: firstly, the fraud was very simple. The chat screenshots and transfer records provided by the user showed that the "executive" did not verify any details, but the user "absolutely trusted" and directly transferred the money; Secondly, there are abnormal transfer records, and the fraudulent address claimed by the user is likely to be their own address after investigation; Thirdly, chat records have "disappeared", and users claim that the other party has enabled privacy mode and can only provide screenshots of "post questioning"; Fourthly, the user is questioning the real executive account, but the executive is not aware of it. After investigation, it was found that this was a self-directed and self staged scam targeting Binance and its users. The user forged chat records and transfer records (using a certain guarantee platform), then falsely claimed that the chat records were deleted, and then found the real executive account for questioning, creating two sets of "executive" screenshots. Then, he took the conversation records of the real executive account to customer service, requested verification, attempted to induce customer service to reply, and threatened to use social media to pressure them if they did not help solve the problem. Sisi stated that the purpose of public sharing is to raise awareness and prevent various new types of fraud. At the same time, we warn fraudsters and speculators, and will resolutely expose and hold accountable those who attempt to frame Binance and confuse the public through fraud, deception, and other means.
