REGARDING LINQTO:
Thank you for the kind words but please know I can live with any Karma originating from my pro bono legal work in the Linqto bankruptcy on behalf of innocent LINQTO CUSTOMERS. If I was billing for my legal work in this case - at the same hourly rate as the bankruptcy lawyers handling the case ($1200-$2500 per hour) - it would be 7 figures.
You may be 💯 correct - that Linqto may not have needed to file bankruptcy. 🤷♂️ But even if that’s true - we ARE in bankruptcy and federal bankruptcy code applies - not common law - not your Linqto contracts (that Linqto didn’t honor). It’s actually not that difficult to understand.
The federal judge, presiding over this case, described Linqto as a FRAUD case. Regardless of whether you, @KuwlShow or I believe Linqto committed fraud, the JUDGE said so. In fact, the SDNY is investigating the fraud and a grand jury indictment is expected.
Bankruptcy sucks and it’s a shame that we’re in this situation. With that said, assuming the plan is voted on favorably and approved by the Judge and assuming customers receive 95% of what they invested in - it will be the best bankruptcy result FOR CUSTOMERS involved in a fraud case in modern bankruptcy history. Period.
And assuming that happens, I can live with any karma that comes from the small part that I may have played.(John E Deaton)
