🚨 BITCOIN IS BEING FORECEFULLY HELD IN ONE RANGE
Price keeps circling $85k-$90k like it's magnetically anchored.
There's a reason for that, and it has nothing to do with sentiment or chart patterns.
BTC is pinned to a critical options level around $88k.
The behavior above and below that line is completely different.
Above it, market makers are structurally forced to sell rallies and buy dips.
Any upward momentum gets capped and price gravitates back to center.
It's mechanical, not discretionary.
Below that level, the dynamic flips.
Selling feeds on itself, volatility expands instead of compressing, and the range stops holding.
That's why every move away from this zone gets pulled right back.
It's not traders changing their minds. It's dealers managing exposure in real time.
Look at what happens when price approaches $90k.
There's heavy call positioning right at that strike.
Dealers are short those calls, so as price climbs toward $90k they hedge by selling spot.
What looks like organic resistance is actually forced supply appearing exactly where momentum should break through.
Every rally into $90k runs into the same wall for this reason.
The flip side is $85k. Heavy put positioning sits there.
When price drops, dealers hedge by buying spot.
That's why dips get absorbed so fast. It looks like strong hands buying support, but it's just hedging mechanics.
This creates a range that feels stable on the surface but isn't structurally sound at all. It's held together by options exposure, not conviction.
Here's why timing matters.
A large portion of this gamma structure expires Dec 26th.
Roughly three quarters of the current positioning disappears in one session.
After that, the forces pinning price in this range just aren't there anymore.
Not because fundamentals changed or because traders flipped bullish or bearish. Simply because the mechanical pressure holding it in place evaporates.
The next 48 hours likely decide whether we break before expiry or wait until after.
Either way, the setup resolves soon because the structure forcing this range can't persist much longer.
Price isn't trapped here because of indecision.
It's trapped here because of options mechanics.
Once those mechanics unwind, the range probably goes with them.
