Hong Kong Police: 1 Billion Yen Cryptocurrency Exchange Robbery, 15 Arrested According to Hong Kong media outlet HK01, last week, two employees of a Japanese company involved in cryptocurrency and luxury goods businesses took a car to a cryptocurrency exchange shop in Sheung Wan, planning to exchange 1 billion yen (approximately 50 million HKD) stored in four suitcases into cryptocurrency and Hong Kong dollars. However, they were robbed at knifepoint. Hong Kong police disclosed that 15 people have been arrested so far, with 7 of them charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Authorities are currently tracing the whereabouts of the funds, and the investigation is ongoing. More arrests cannot be ruled out.
