The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released its latest statement, saying it will continue negotiations with El Salvador regarding its Bitcoin project and the sale of the government’s electronic wallet, Chivo, noting that “significant progress” has been made in the discussions. The IMF stated that the Salvadoran government has agreed at the policy level not to actively increase its BTC holdings and is moving forward with phasing out the Chivo wallet. However, El Salvador’s official Bitcoin office claims it is still “purchasing 1 BTC daily” and announced on December 22 that its holdings have increased to 7,509 BTC. The IMF has requested that El Salvador fully comply by the end of 2025 at the latest. (cryptopolitan) https://www.(wublock123.com)/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=54020
