Speaking of AAVE, the whole story is a bit complicated and can be called a 'Christmas conspiracy split caused by a commission rebate'.
Firstly, some people may know that Swap can also be used in AAVE. In the past, AAVE was connected to ParaSwap, and a portion of the fees collected by ParaSwap would be returned to AAVE's DAO.
Recently, with the mediation of Aave Labs (the development team's company), AAVE changed its supplier from ParaSwap to CowSwap.
However, CowSwap's trading commission will no longer be returned to DAO, but will instead be returned to Labs.
This incident has angered the community, with everyone accusing Labs of enriching themselves.
Labs also forcefully explained that the front-end of AAVE belongs to Labs, while the back-end belongs to DAO. So it's understandable that the front-end revenue belongs to Labs.
Then, someone initiated a proposal, and this guy's name is @ eboadom. He was once the CTO of AAVE and is now the founder of BGDLabs. They can be considered as one of the backbone of AAVE's community ecology.
His original intention was to explore whether the brand rights of AAVE could be "nationalized", meaning that if your Labs did well, you could continue to earn money, but if you didn't do well, you would have to take back the AAVE brand.
We need to fully empower DAO to take control of AAVE both spiritually and formally.
But the Labs led by Stani @ StaniKulechov seems to have started practicing accelerationism, turning this discussion post into a referendum at lightning speed.
And the time for the referendum is very strange, choosing December 23-26.
Allow me to explain briefly here:
During the Christmas period, the first foreigner often does not work at all and goes missing; Similar to the attitude of Chinese people towards work during the Chinese New Year, which is' wait until after the New Year '.
Secondly, this is just a very early discussion post. Normally, this post needs to be discussed for 3-6 months and optimized N times before it reaches the stage of a referendum.
Thirdly, this matter has instead become a unilateral push by Labs, including the original poster who said they did not intend to push for the referendum so quickly and that he was "signed" without his permission.
Such haste and tight timing have further angered the community. Perhaps this led to this person, who is said to be the second biggest player on the AAVE chart, being angry and smashing his AAVE chips, resulting in a significant drop in AAVE.
Of course, whether there are any other conspiracies behind this remains to be further discovered, and I will continue to monitor it.
