[WTO Report: Artificial Intelligence May Boost Global Trade by Nearly 40% by 2040]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on the 20th local time, the World Trade Organization released the *World Trade Report 2025*, stating that with supportive policies in place, artificial intelligence is expected to enhance productivity and reduce trade costs, increasing cross-border goods and services trade by 34% to 37% by 2040, and global GDP by 12% to 13%. The report emphasizes the need to bridge gaps in digital infrastructure, strengthen skills training, and maintain an open and predictable trade environment to ensure more inclusive growth. WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala stated that trade can play a key role in ensuring artificial intelligence "benefits all economies." (CCTV News)
