According to Wu Blockchain, as reported by *The Chosun Ilbo*, police in Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, have cracked a case involving an attempt to use counterfeit bills for offline cryptocurrency transactions. A group produced 9,188 fake 50,000 KRW bills (worth approximately 459 million KRW) and attempted to exchange the cash for cryptocurrency with an investor near Cheonan-Asan Station last year. However, the rough texture of the bills gave them away, leading to a police report. The police later tracked down and arrested three individuals, one of whom had fled overseas but was captured and brought back. The suspects claimed they committed the crime due to unemployment and financial difficulties. Currently, two have been prosecuted, while the third is still under further investigation. https://www.(wublock123.com)/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=53879
