If I asked you "what is money" what would your response be? There are a wide range of answers But for me money = stored time and energy of humans (and yourself) Why is something made of leather more expensive than something made of plastic? Because the time and energy it takes to "grow" a animal, harvest that material and curate/hand craft that into something valuable/useful is immensely larger than a machine that can pump out 1000 plastic water bottles / min _________________ Over 10 yrs ago I spent ~4 yrs going through X-ray school In the last 6 months I failed a crucial practicum/ in person exam 2 hrs later I was ejected from the program, no refunds, no retries, no ability to reuse those school credits I was left with $50k in debt and nothing to show for the last 4 yrs Was then stuck /forced to work soul draining minimum wage slave slop for years I became obsessed with making money Not because I wanted to buy more things But because I wanted/needed more units of time I wanted "my life back", I need to not feel like I was dying inside or wasting my life 9 years later from that point in the past I can say I've achieved that goal (ty web3 and those that still read and support my content) However, reaching this stage comes with its own new challenges (temptation of hedonism, addictions, ect) But well save that post for another time But the main takeaway is Money = units of time Work as hard as you can in your youth to secure your freedom You and your loved ones will thank you later(Insightful)
