[Putin Discusses Russian Economic Development: This Year's GDP Growth Rate Expected to Be 1%]
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during the 'Annual Review' event on the 19th that Russia's GDP growth rate is expected to be 1% in 2025, with a cumulative GDP growth rate of 9.7% over the past three years. Putin said that the slowdown in Russia's GDP growth is the result of the government's 'deliberate efforts' to curb inflation. He also mentioned that Russia's inflation issue is being resolved, with the inflation rate expected to drop to 5.7% to 5.8% by the end of the year. Putin noted that this year, Russia's labor productivity growth has been relatively moderate, the unemployment rate has further decreased to 2.2%, and the annual growth rate of real wages is 4.5%. Russia's budget deficit rate for this year is 2.6%, and it is expected to further decrease to 1.6% by 2026. (Xinhua News Agency)
