[Goldman Sachs: Low Inflation Data Insufficient to Influence Fed Decisions] Jin10 Data, December 18 – Analysts are no longer focusing on the U.S. CPI data distorted by the government shutdown, as it cannot be compared month-over-month. Kay Haigh, Global Co-Head of Fixed Income and Liquidity Solutions at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, stated: 'Given the volatility of the data, today's low inflation data will not have any impact on the Fed's decisions.' 'The Fed will instead turn its attention to the December CPI to be released in mid-January, which will be published two weeks before the Fed's next meeting and can be considered a more accurate inflation indicator.'
