The design of One was the kind that was stable, the size did not need to be smaller than ES8, and the cost-effectiveness was higher. This ideal design language continued to be successful on L9 and L8, and finally changed to another design language at MAGA, which slightly overturned. NIO redesigned the ES8 this year, aligning its size and price with the L9, which led to an increase in ES8 sales.
Looking at the M9 size, it is a classic full-size SUV that is stable, atmospheric, and slightly rounded. It is acceptable to male car owners and has won the favor of many female car owners. Looking at the Zunjie 800 and the U7, although both are claimed to be executive sedans, the Zunjie looks like a Maybach, while the U7 still appears in the form of a coupe. In terms of size, the Zunjie is slightly larger than the Maybach S680, and the U7 is the size of a regular Mercedes Benz S-Class. On this basis, there are also differences in comparison of technology and product strength.
Another point of view is that Quest and Zunjie have indeed brought over quite a number of luxury cars in China. Looking at Tiktok, we can see that many of the original owners of Mercedes Benz, Range Rover, even Bentley and Lao have moved to the M9 and 800, but they have changed into tap water.
