The dream of every Jamaican is to own their own piece of the Rock, and we will continue to partner with our citizens to make that dream a reality. In Lacovia, I joined residents for a land-title handover that reinforced our focus on ownership, dignity, and sustainable development. The recent impact of Hurricane Melissa underscored why secure land tenure and proper land-use planning are essential to building safer, more resilient communities. While we cannot undo the losses experienced, we are taking deliberate steps to reduce vulnerability and strengthen long-term development. Land titles are instruments of empowerment, resilience, and opportunity, helping to build a more orderly and prosperous Jamaica.(Andrew Holness)
