I am from the cryptocurrency industry I am from a Hong Kong listed company. To be honest, if we were to introduce this to the veteran players in the traditional financial industry, their reactions and attitudes would be completely different. 10 years ago, I was also responsible for investing in a Hong Kong listed company. In the Hong Kong listed company system, I am not unfamiliar with the compliance supervision, information disclosure, and capital market logic. Because of this, I am well aware that it is not an easy task for a company with a Chinese background and engaged in cryptocurrency related businesses to IPO on the Hong Kong main board in a non backdoor manner. At that time, in the Chinese crypto community, "compliance" was never a priority, and most projects either chose to go global or wandered in gray areas. In this context, this road itself is difficult and highly symbolic. In my impression, HashKey started with HashKey Capital in its early days, established a group in 2018, and gradually built complete businesses such as trading, custody, and asset management in the following years, until 2023 when it began to fully invest in Hong Kong's compliance system. This path is not sexy, costly, and has slow returns, but today's successful listing at least shows one thing: it has been incorporated into the regulatory and capital market system, becoming a compliant company that can be regulated, priced, and constrained. From the perspective of traditional finance, HashKey is more like a digital asset infrastructure company than the stereotypical cryptocurrency project. For many traditional funds, entering a regulated and constrained system inherently means a completely different level of risk perception and discussion space. In addition, HashKey has completed its listing even though it has already issued the platform currency HSK. This at least indicates that as long as designed properly, it can be accepted by mainstream markets, and tokens and listed companies can coexist at the institutional level. HashKey has successfully gone public, which is a change in identity from a cryptocurrency startup to a negotiable scope in the mainstream financial system. This matter is very important for Chinese Crypto, and it is also worth taking a serious look at for traditional finance. By the way, as for us hairdressers, when it comes to "blind dates", don't say that you are screwing in the hairdressers' circle anymore. Let's all go public, global traders in the US and Hong Kong stocks!
