[Insider: Lead Bank has reduced cooperation with some stablecoin payment companies in recent months]
Foresight News reports, citing The Information and insiders, that Lead Bank has reduced cooperation with some stablecoin payment companies in recent months due to concerns about clients taking on excessive risks. The bank has also added restrictions on acceptable customer source countries and industries. Other industry sources stated that stricter reviews of user identities and fund sources have led to longer transaction settlement times and account opening processes.
The report states that Lead Bank is currently one of the few banks still willing to handle USD payments for stablecoin users. Most well-known stablecoin payment startups, such as Stripe's Bridge, BVNK, and Brale, rely on Lead Bank to provide services for users looking to exchange between fiat currency and cryptocurrency.
