[A Singaporean Web3 Angel Investor Loses at Least $100,000 in Crypto Assets Due to Malware Installation]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Mark Koh, a Web3 angel investor from Singapore, accidentally downloaded a game launcher containing malware while testing an online game, resulting in the theft of at least $100,000 worth of cryptocurrency assets from his digital wallet. Mark Koh stated that the attack was not a simple phishing click but a credential theft at the operating system level, which could not be prevented even with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. He has reported the incident to the police and urged the public not to download software from unknown sources, not to disclose seed phrases, and to avoid storing all assets in a single wallet.
