One worrisome thing about this big push for AI assistant wearable XR glasses that we see from Meta et al., is the retardation of the human mind. The examples they all use in demoing their product is always someone asking the AI the most banal of basic questions: "Hey Meta, how do I open this jar?" with a 10 second delay before the AI gives an overcomplicated response like: 1) Look at the jar you want to open 2) Pick it up 3) With one hand grasp the bottom and with the other hand twist the lid in counter-clockwise motion 4) Put the jar down With the person saying "Thanks Meta!" This is colossally dangerous. This is the retardation of the human mind. The idea here is that people will be able to share their vision from the glasses and the AI will be able to interact with what they see. Obviously this is actually being used as decentralized global training data to train our new antichrist digital God in a man made prison of our own creation, but that's a different discussion. If this category takes off, which we hope it doesn't, people will be trained to rely on AI for EVERYTHING. Including the most simple of tasks. They will not be trained in thinking. Why would they? They will be literally told exactly step by step what to do for any situation. There would be no reason to develop any thought, whatsoever. People will have completely given their mind to technology, and Idiocracy will likely be an underrepresentation of how bad things get. An entire generation coming up, trained by technology to NOT think, completely dependent, like lambs to slaughter, fed context by those who came before and control the AI, and have no free will nor the knowledge of what free will even is. The more you give of your humanity over to the machine under the guise of productivity or convenience, the more humanity loses. You don't get it back.
